Martin is a member of the Remodelers Advantage.
Remodelers Advantage Inc. is a consulting firm specializing in the remodeling industry. For nearly three decades, we’ve worked with hundreds of remodelers each year to help them create companies that deliver above-average compensation, healthy net profit year after year, and an environment that allows for a full and balanced life. “Our members work together to maximize opportunity, minimize challenges and move to higher levels of success."
Martin also does a lot of charity work for The Children’s Room in Arlington.
With success comes great responsibility. Martin continually gives back to the community that has been so kind to him over the years. One of his most rewarding philanthropic efforts is his work for the Children’s Room in Arlington, a center for bereaved children, teenagers and the adults who are a part of their lives. Personally touched upon being diagnosed with cancer shortly after the birth of his first of four daughters, Martin began donating his time by helping out with various renovation and maintenance projects over the past several years, his involvement has grown and now serves on the advisory board in addition to organizing several fundraising events each year.
Besides keeping up with the maintenance and replacing all of there windows, last September, Conneely Contracting hosted their first Golf Tournament benefiting the Children’s Room and raised over $15,000.00. We still hear people talking about how successful and enjoyable the whole day was from the golf to the banquet. We decided that this year we were going to have it at Wayland Country Club on Friday August 22, 2008. We are also going to have the banquet at the Sons of Italy in Arlington. We want not only the golfers to join us but friends and family members as well. We are hoping to make the night an event of itself with dinner, entertainment and of course the awards, along with silent and live auctions. You can sign up on-line through www.childrensroom.org, or contact the office for more information. All proceeds will benefit the Children’s Room.
Martin also does a lot of charity work for the Bishop Playground Committee.
Conneely Contracting has also actively joined in helping out Bishop School and becoming a member of the Bishop Playground Committee. Last fall, Conneely Contracting along the side of many others, donated their time in rebuilding a safe and inviting playground for Bishop School, which was in desperate need of repairs. Currently, Conneely Contracting has been involved in the second phase of the playground project which is building a new Science Kiosk which includes a community bulletin board with plaques recognizing the donors who have contributed to the project as well as an “equipped weather station” and a sundial both which tie into the Bishop School Science Curriculum. Being a part of the BPIC, and involved in building this playground for our children gives Martin and his company great pleasure to be able to give back to the community.

A father of four an avid sports fan, Martin is also actively involved in youth sports. Martin donates much of his time each fall to the Pop Warner football & cheerleading program. For seven years Martin has coached young football players in Arlington and will continue to do so this fall. "I am a firm believer that you must take care
of the people that take care of you. With that said, I do my
absolute best to help those who have been an integral part of the
success of my company. I have been blessed to be surrounded
by some great people over the years from my family and friends to
employees and sub contractors to my clients both past and present. It
is a great pleasure to be able to give back to the community in which
we have achieved my success and I hope to be able to continue in
the years to come." (back to top) |
